December, 1863The heroine, Chizuru Yukimura, is the daughter of a Ranpo doctor and grew up in Edo.
Her father left her behind while supposedly going to Kyoto for work.
Chizuru became worried when she couldn’t get in touch with her father. And so, she went to Kyoto in search for her missing father.
But what she saw there were the members of the Shinsengumi cutting down bloodlust monsters.
With Chizuru, who gets tied to the Shinsengumi under those strange circumstances,
and the mysterious assassins who appear in front of her,
the secret of the Shinsengumi ‒ the existence of the Furies ‒ will become clear before long in
this era of madness where men wield their blades for their beliefs and ideals.

Beings born through experiments conducted by Kodo Yukimura on the Shinsengumi by the order of the Shogunate.
By using the Water of Life, people can achieve healing abilities and strength several times that of a normal person. But, those people became the residents of the night and lose control of themselves in presence of blood.
